မတ္လ (၁၇)ရက္ေန႔က ျမန္မာစစ္တပ္မွ စစ္ထရပ္ကား(၅)စီးနဲ႔ အစိုးရ႒ာန ကားမ်ိဳးစံု ေရာက္ရွိလာျပီး ျမစ္ဆံုဆည္စီမံကိန္း ဝန္းက်င္မွာ ျပန္လည္ အေျခခ်ေနထိုင္ဖို႔ ျပန္လည္ေရာက္ရွိလာတဲ့ မူလတန္ဖဲ ရြာသားမ်ားအား အတင္းအၾကပ္ ခ်ိန္းေျခာက္ ႏွင္ထုတ္ခဲ့ျပီး တားျမစ္ ဧရိယာ ဆိုင္းဘုတ္ကို စိုက္ထူခဲ့ပါတယ္..။ ျပီးခဲ့တဲ့ လပိုင္းမ်ားက ရပ္ဆိုင္းသြားျပီ ဆိုတဲ့ ျမစ္ဆံုဆည္ စီမံကိန္းေၾကာင့္ အတင္းအၾကပ္ ေျပာင္းေရႊ႕ခံထားရျပီး တရုတ္ကုမၸဏီေတြ ေဆာက္လုပ္ေပးထားတဲ့ ေအာင္ေျမသာ စံျပေက်းရြာမ်ားမွ မူလ အေျခခ် တန္ဖဲရြာသားမ်ားဟာ မိမိေနရပ္မွာ ျပန္လည္ လုပ္ကိုင္စားေသာက္ အေျခခ် ေနထိုင္ဖို႔ျပန္လည္ ေရာက္ရွိလာၾကပါတယ္..။ အစိုးရမွ ျပန္လည္ေရာက္ရွိလာတဲ့ ေဒသခံ တန္ဖဲရြာသားမ်ားအား မတ္လ(၁၇)ရက္ေန႔ ေနာက္ဆံုးထားျပီး ျပန္လည္ ေျပာင္းေရႊ႕ေပးဖို႔ ေၾကျငာခဲ့ပါတယ္..။ ထို႔အတြက္ေၾကာင့္ တန္ဖဲရြာသားမ်ားမွ ကခ်င္ဝန္ၾကီးခ်ဳပ္ထံ အသနားခံစာအား ပူးတြဲပါစာမွာ ၾကည့္ရွဴႏိုင္ပါတယ္..။ (KDNG)ရဲ့သတင္း ထုတ္ျပန္ ေၾကျငာခ်က္ပါ..။

Chinese companies are funding a multi-billion dollar project to dam the Irrawaddy river in Myanmar.

The river, the longest one left undammed in southeast Asia, is important to the Kachin people, and millions of people up and down its length would be affected by the changes, experts say.

When it is dammed, it will leave an area the size of New York City submerged.

There are now concerns over who is to benefit from the river's riches.

Al Jazeera's special correspondent in Myanmar, who we cannot name for security reasons, filed this exclusive report.
